In its latest advisory report, the Flemish Science Policy Council (VRWB) endorses renewed and urgent financial action to make up for the ground lost and to reduce the gap with other countries. In the matter of public financing of scientific research and technological development, Flanders is lagging behind compared to its most important trade partners. With 0.60% of the GDPR, Flanders scores significantly lower than the average of 0.77% of the GDPR of its most important trade partners. In addition, it itself is not in step with the growth of the Flemish economy.
