The shortage of graduates in STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) is well known. Therefore the VRWI outsourced a research project to Dirk De Martelaere (research MAS) and Wouter Van den Berghe (study and consultancy Tilkon) to strengthen existing insights.
The VRWI thinks it is a good thing that the Government of Flanders is working on a long-term housing vision, but requests attention for cross-policy collaboration and the coordination needed for developing and funding plans.
Although the new support measures for incubators are definitely a step forward, the VRWI recommends studying the current use of the existing incubators before providing financial support to new initiatives.
