Dirk Boogmans started his career at Generale Bank in 1980 and later moved on to the GIMV, where in 1989 he became a member of the executive. From 1998 until June 2001 he was managing director of construction group CFE, then returned to the GIMV, first as Director-General, later as managing director until July 2008. Boogmans is director at BNP Paribas's Fortis Bank, Ethias Finance, P & V, Collibra, Vivium, Vinçotte. He is also chairman of Noriant Hercules Invest, Arcomet Group and CREF.
